Every class at Waverley has its own light, airy, self-contained classroom with its own dedicated outdoor space.  Every classroom also has its own food preparation/kitchen area, toilet facilities, relaxing story telling area as well as themed play areas.

'Acorn Lodge' - Our Woodland School outdoor classroom

Our rural location means that our learning and play is integrated with our natural environment. Our younger children enjoy daily woodland walks and our older Nursery children participate in Woodland School. Acorn Lodge is our Woodland School outdoor classroom. Situated in our grounds, Acorn Lodge is a chalet-style self-contained classroom which brings nature inside. Find out more about what we do in Woodland School here.

Benefitting from our Prep School facilities

Waverley Nursery benefits on a daily basis from being able to use the facilities of the Prep School located on the same site. The facilities that our Nursery children enjoy are:

• Library - we have regular library sessions each week for story-telling, reading and to chose a library book
• School hall - our older Nursery children use the large, brightly lit school hall for Christmas and summer productions, dance and ballet and PE. 
• Lunch - our older Nursery children eat lunch together with our youngest School pupils in Reception
• PE equipment - our Nursery children enjoy PE equipment such as mats, balance benches, small gym horses and other sports equipment suitable for younger children.
• Our older Nursery children's playgrounds are adjacent to, but not shared with, our school children. This enables our Nursery 3 and Foundation children to feel part of a wider Waverley community.
• Our younger children's outdoor play areas are separate and away from our older Nursery and School children to ensure they feel safe and secure in a calm, welcoming outdoor area.
• Playing fields - our spectacular and expansive playing fields offer children the space to run and enjoy sports and fitness under the supervised care of their Educators.
